There is a MAJOR mountain bike race in Chattanooga on Sunday, June 29.

It’s an American Mountain Bike Challenge and South Eastern Regional Championships event. This is a major regional and national points series race and as such will draw racers from near and far.

The ‘Coon has gotten some major press over the last couple of years, and word of mouth reviews are also very positive, so look for a huge turnout for this race.

Not sure what the course will be, but it’s likely going to be the “big loop” — just the main trail. Still, there’s a lot of awesome technical and fast downhill stuff on that loop, so it should be a fun race for the riders and spectators. Add the easy accessibility with the ring road around the top of the mountain, and it will be an epic venue for mountain biking.

Don’t miss this opportunity to check out a real mountain bike race… they don’t often occur this close to town on a course that is so easy to access for spectators.
