Rides

Here at Suck Creek we love to ride. Part of the shops goal is to encourage others to ride as well. We also believe in friendship & riding together. Right now we sponsor two weekly rides:

  1. Sat AM Road Ride. A standing road ride (unless raining heavily) at 8:30am from Suck Creek Cycles. Somewhere between 45-65 miles, usually around 18mph avg. We don’t leave anyone for dead. Hope to see you out there! We’ll be starting this ride up again soon so  please call the shop (423.266.8883) Thurs in the afternoon to confirm.
  2. Wed Morning at Raccoon Mtn. Mountain Bike Ride @ Raccoon Mountain. Meet at East Overlook parking area at 9:30am. Ride at a moderate pace for 1.5-2 hours.

If you need something to help get you riding we’ve got it or can fix it. There is a shower & bathrooms, usually coffee too. Come early & hang out late. Don’t be intimidated, the road ride is mellow (by road standards) & the MTB ride caters to all.

Hope to see you out there!

Thursday Night MTB ride. This one is a SORBA of Chattanooga ride and is a great chance to ride Raccoon Mtn @ night.  Trails are so different under the lights.

From SORBA:

SORBA-Chattanooga reached an agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to host weekly night rides on Raccoon Mountain. The rides will take place every Thursday night throughout the winter, weather permitting. The ride will depart from the East Brow Parking lot at 6 pm. All riders are required to wear a helmet and have either a bike or helmet light.
