Thursday Night Shop Road Ride

Suck Creek is hosting a weekly Road Ride from the shop.

Regular Thu night Shop group ride. Starts @ 6pm from Suck Creek Cycle, 321 Cherokee Blvd Chattanooga 37405. No one gets dropped, riders can feel free to ride the climb at their own place. We will try to stay together thru town. The regroup point will be the traffic circle at the very top of the Raccoon Mtn climb. We’ll try & keep the group together on the way back in, but faster riders can feel free to ride @ own pace. Join us afterwards at the shop for a well deserved cold beer.

Here’s the loop:  Shop to the top of Raccoon Mountain & back.  Here are some more rides you can use that start & end at our Shop.

Suck Creek Stars in a Specialized Ad

Well in fairness, starring might be a wee embellishment, but we are in it. Perhaps this is our 15 minutes of fame…

Specialized water bottles really are the industry standard. Unless your bike shop is, say, a Trek store chances are very good that the bottle you are using was made by Specialized. Well, in a mailing promoting their bottle line up there is a large two page spread featuring 9 shop’s/organization’s bottles & guess what, we made it into that. Woohoo! Bye the bye, this mailing is sent to bike shops all across this country. We are famous, sort of. Continue Reading →

Specialized Carve Expert, Bike Radar Review

Specialized has a new 29 hardtail out this year. It’s the Carve. The idea is to slot a bike between the Rockhopper & the Stumpjumper, as Bike Radar puts it “A fresh design from the ground up, it slots into the line-up between the stalwart trail-ready Rockhopper and the more race-orientated old man of the Specialized family, the Stumpjumper.” Continue Reading →

My New Tarmac

Well it took about 6 months from time of order to final assembly but bike is done Well really it was finished back in April- but I’m just now getting back into the website. Regardless it felt like I had laid down a ships keel not started a bike build.

Pics & thoughts coming soon.

Our Demo’s

Demo Update:

The current lineup includes our mid range of KONA mountain bicycles.

We host annual Demo Days at local trail systems. Lock on to our Facebook Events for upcoming dates and locations.

If you see one of our personal rides in the shop with dirty tires… chances are, you can butter us up before one of our shop rides and give it a spin on the road or trail.

Weekend (& Other) Rides

[mappress mapid=”2″]Other than our Thursday Shop ride @ 6pm, there are a good number of other ride options out there for you.

Here are some ongoing rides:

  1. Tuesday Night World Championships–  6pm from the “Old BiLo” in Redbank. This is a pretty large ride for riders of all ages & abilities. There are a lot of fast riders there ( including Cat 1’s, semi-pro’s), but different groups will head out individually so one doesn’t have to try & stay on (unless you want to). One climb is on the loop, however, one doesn’t have to ride it. There are a number of other options.

Another good source for local ride loops is of course Map My Ride. Within Map My Ride there are a series of rides that have been posted by Marburg (me & yes I know it’s a deadly virus, don’t ask)

Hope this helps. As always call the shop @ 423.266.883 & we’ll try to get you to a ride.
