The 2027 Norco Revolver LT C3 is a 29-inch carbon cross-country trail bike with 130mm of fork travel and 120mm out back, a 66 degree head angle, Shimano Deore 12-speed throughout, and a dropper post at every size. $4,299.
Why Your Size Matters Here
Most manufacturers build one rear triangle and bolt it to five different front ends. The result is that a small frame puts the rider far back over a short bike and an extra-large puts them far forward over a long one, and the two bikes do not handle alike even though they share a name. Norco grows the rear centre with the frame: 422mm on the S1, then 426, 430, 434, and 438mm on the S5. Sixteen millimetres of difference, so the rider sits in the same place between the wheels at every size. Trail stays at 118mm across the whole range for the same reason. If you have ever ridden a small or extra-large frame and felt that the bike was fighting you in a way your friend's medium was not, this is the thing that was wrong, and this is the bike that fixed it.
The Frame
Carbon, 120mm of rear travel, and Norco's lightest full-suspension chassis. It uses a flex-pivot layout, meaning the seatstay flexes instead of pivoting on a bearing, which removes a bearing to service and takes weight out without giving up suspension performance. UDH rear dropout and Eagle Transmission compatibility are built in, so the drivetrain upgrade path is open and the hanger is the universal one every shop stocks. Tire clearance runs 2.35in to 2.5in. Bottle capacity varies by size, from one 750ml on the S1 up to two 750ml bottles on the S4 and S5. Norco backs the frame with a limited lifetime warranty.
The Suspension
A RockShox Reba RL with Motion Control damping at 130mm up front, and a RockShox SID LUX Select+ at 190x45mm in the rear. Running 130mm of fork against 120mm of rear travel is a deliberate choice rather than a mismatch: the longer fork slackens the front end and gives you more to lean on when the trail points down, while the shorter rear keeps the bike efficient when it points back up. That extra 10mm is most of the reason this bike descends better than its travel number suggests.
The Build
Shimano Deore 12-speed end to end, running an M6200 derailleur and shifter against a 10-51T cassette and an MT520 crank. Shimano MT420 four-piston brakes on 180mm rotors front and rear, which is more brake than an XC bike usually gets and the right amount for a bike with these angles. WTB ST TCS 2.0 rims at 27mm internal on Shimano TC500 hubs. The tires are a proper trail pairing rather than race rubber: a Maxxis Dissector up front for cornering bite with a faster-rolling Forekaster behind, both 29x2.4in in 3C MaxxTerra EXO. A TranzX dropper is fitted at every size, from 150mm on the small frames to 230mm on the S5.
Ride Aligned Setup
Norco publishes a setup system that takes your height, weight and riding style and returns actual numbers: fork and shock pressure, rebound clicks, tire pressure, cockpit position. It is genuinely useful and almost nobody uses it, because it arrives as a link in a box that gets thrown away. We will run yours with you before the bike leaves, write the numbers down, and set the bike to them. A suspension bike set up for someone else's weight is a worse bike than a cheaper one set up for yours.
How It Compares
The C3 is the entry point to the Revolver LT. Step up to the C2 at $5,699 or the C1 at $8,299 and you are buying lighter suspension, a better drivetrain and lighter wheels on the same carbon frame and the same geometry. Nothing about how this bike is shaped changes as you move up the range, which makes the C3 the sensible place to start and the fork the first thing worth upgrading. Against the 120mm Revolver in the same family, the LT trades a little climbing efficiency for a slacker front end and 10mm more fork, and that trade is the right one for most riders here. The honest limitation of this build is the Reba fork: it does the job, it is not a chassis that rewards hard charging, and you will find its limit before you find the frame's.
Riding It Here
A 130mm fork, a 66 degree head angle, four-piston brakes and real tires describe a bike that climbs like a cross-country bike and descends like a trail bike, which is the combination that works for most of the riding around Chattanooga and through the North Georgia corridor. Rocky, rooty, steep in places, with long climbs to earn it. Come ride one before you commit to a size. We will put you on the right frame, run your Ride Aligned numbers, set sag, and send you out on it.
